We did NOT wake up like this… 5 tips for running late

There are two types of people: early birds and heavy sleepers. Early birds rise out of bed with the sun, and don’t understand the struggle of waking up on time every morning. This one is for our snooze button enthusiasts- to the ones who give yourself an extra five minutes of sleep… that then turn into 30 minutes and before you know it you’re running late to class, work, or that important meeting. And your morning becomes a scrambled battle between priorities, juggling hygiene, with food, and trying to not look like you just rolled out of bed. Here are a few tips and tricks to pull off an hour’s worth of getting ready in a shorter time frame:


1. The power of Accessorizing


Hair pins, jewelry, or scarves can make a world of difference in your appearance. Accessories not only show a sense of style, but also help create the illusion that you surely dressed to impress. Throw on a cute necklace or a nice hair accessory, and look fabulous.



2. Master the “no makeup” look

Create a simple and quick look by applying a pigmented tinted moisturizer and or a creamy concealer to cover any blemishes and dark circles. Apply mascara, and faintly fill-in your eyebrows. If you have a couple of extra seconds, add some highlight to create a natural glow and/or blush for some color. Lastly, top off this quick look with a subtle and smooth lip gloss. The “no makeup” look will save you time, and will give a natural glow.

This will help your day go by smoothly, and will prevent you from forgetting any devices or items for the following morning.
